Hey. So I have noticed I have loads of chicken in my freezer and it is about time I dusted off the old slow cooker.
What are your fav slow cooker chicken recipes? Please post recipe if available.
Many thanks ^_^
I am thawing them now and need a good recipe for chicken leg quarters (leg and thigh for those who don’t know). I have a slow cooker and a crock pot so I can use either one. I want something tasty (similar to baked chicken). I want to put it on before I leave in the morning and let it cook for 8 to 10 hours or so. Tomorrow is a busy day for me.
Nothing with cream of mushroom soup on it or anything, please.
Cooks/JCPenney used to make one but you cant get it in Pink anymore. Kitchen Aid’s Cook for the Cure does not have slow cookers. Does anybody knwo where I can find a pink slow cooker other than the Hello Kitty one?
I have a blender, 10 speeds, but no food processor and need to process some tahini and fruit into a paste to make some halva. Will it work, what speed? Any tips?
Here’s the recipe directions:
8 oz tahini or sesame seeds
4 oz raisins
4 oz dates
1 tsp vanilla extract
Break down the dried fruit in the food processor until it forms one homogenous mass. By hand, break the mass into smaller pieces, and then add the seeds or tahini and vanilla. Turn the food processor on again, and keep it turning until it forms a mass again; this will take a few minutes, be patient. You may need to add a few drops of water to get it to hold together, but be careful, any more than a few drops and it will become too sticky.
When it’s become a single solid mass, take walnut-sized balls of the mixture and roll between the palms of your hands to form balls. Store in the fridge.
I used to live in Louisiana, and now i live in California. I miss the food back in Louisiana, especially the crawfish and boudin. Does anyone know where I can find Cajun food in Louisiana?
I live in Los Angeles, but an answer anywhere in California and Nevada will be fine, as I travel around a lot.
